What are the skin benefits of a chemical peel?
AlumierMD Glow Peel
The Glow Peel is a multipurpose resurfacing treatment that combines the powers of salicylic acid (7%), lactic acid (7%), resorcinol (7%), soy amino acids, and yeast-derived oligopeptide to improve the signs of aging and hyperpigmentation with less downtime. We typically suggest this treatment to people who want to address issues like hyperpigmentation, fine lines, exfoliation, and overall rejuvenation.

IF PEELING DIDN'T TAKE PLACE, DOES IT MEAN IT WAS NOT EFFECTIVE?
Peeling of the dead skin layers can be macroscopic, meaning you can see the peeling, or microscopic, meaning peeling is occurring on a cellular level, but the skin is not visually flaking. Therefore, you can have an effective chemical peel without actually seeing your skin peeling.

TREATMENT EXPECTATIONS
Beautiful skin doesn’t happen overnight, and treatments take time to show results. A single chemical peel can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin; however, more significant results in treating texture issues, fine lines and inflamed acne could take several treatments and loyalty to the appropriate home care regimen. As early as the next day - but remember, it takes your skin 30-45 days to turn over. Be patient with your skin!

IS IT PAINFUL?
No. Never painful. Warm and tingly is how we like to describe it!

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER TREATMENT OR SIDE EFFECTS?
Nope - zero down time. You can apply make up the following day. The sun burnt appearance last 20 minutes to 12 hours post peel. 2-3 days post peel your skin can start to flake (although not everyone's does!) If you are prone to acne, expect your skin to purge! That's a good thing! Please make sure you read the pre/post care instructions for optimal healing
